THE OLD STABLE BARN. STRATTON FARM The old stable barn has been newly converted into a comfortable two bedroom holiday cottage which can sleep up to six people. The stables were originally used for the working farm horses and more recently for riding horses. The conversion has been sympathetically carried out to a very high standard and retains many of the original features including exposed timbers but has the modern conveniences of oil central heating and gas fired log burning stove. The barn is set within the old farmyard with a private courtyard garden to the rear which enjoys the sun for most of the day and evening and is ideal for Pimms and barbecues! The interior: The ground floor is an open plan design with a kitchen, dining area and sitting room with exposed oak beams. The kitchen is fully fitted with granite work surfaces, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and electric cooker. The dining table comfortably seats six people. The sitting room has a log burner, sofa bed and comfortable easy chairs. There is also a TV and DVD. There is a small lobby which leads from the kitchen to the rear court yard which has the boiler and a washer drier. There is also a downstairs toilet off the lobby. Stairs lead from the sitting room to the upstairs landing. Upstairs there are two bedrooms. One double with king size bed, and one with twin beds.. The double room has lovely views across to the surrounding hills The bathroom is behind a bulls eye window with bath/ shower, WC and basin. There is private parking under cover beside the courtyard garden. All linen is provided and the price includes all electricity and gas. Prices start from £200 per week. Short breaks and weekend breaks are also available. Well behaved dogs are welcome for a small extra charge. Stabling and grazing can also be provided if guests would like to also bring their horse to enjoy the beautiful and safe riding in our area.
